I started Mare’s Place on Facebook as a tribute to my Missouri Fox Trotter, Mare, who has been part of my life for nearly 20 years. On December 23, 2025, I had to make the heartbreaking decision to put Mare down due to sudden and rapidly progressing health issues. Though she lived a long, beautiful life, the loss has still been deeply felt. Mare was more than just my horse — she was my best friend, my heart horse, and the inspiration behind so much of my artwork and photography.
